Description
Two major revolutionary shifts (one external and one internal) have profoundly impacted education necessitating drastic, creative, and critical responses. Externally, COVID 19 and its following global crisis has already begun to reshape our school systems. Concurrently, the emergence and rapid advance of artificial intelligence (what I term the internal revolutionary change) has profoundly transformed the traditional framework of education. Both revolutionary forces have brought an opportunity to fundamentally reset the way we think about education. School buildings are no longer the exclusive venues for learning activities nor are teachers the primary deliverers of educational interventions. Students can no longer remain passive recipients; they must become active and responsive co-planners of their learning, a lifelong endeavour.
This book serves as a blueprint for resetting educational theories and practices in response to these revolutionary changes. The author suggests an ecological view for future education and schooling where students develop their own agency competencies and shape learning to lead to community actualization.
