Please read these guidelines if you are asked to contribute a chapter to an Ethics International Press collection.

A chapter will normally be between 3,000 and 6,000 words, but these are not strict word limits, and can be discussed with the editor. Chapters should be written in English.

Ethics International Press is an academic (scholarly) publisher, and collections thatcontain chapters will primarily serve an academic market (research, study and teaching). Therefore, chapters should be presented in a style and language to suit an academic audience, which includes full and proper referencing.

Please see also our current Open Calls for Chapters on our website.

Contributing a Chapter

Chapters should be sent in an editable format, such as Microsoft Word, and be free of spelling and grammatical errors. A submitted chapter should be accompanied by an abstract (summary) of 250 to 500 words. This should be included as part of the same document. Authors should also send, separately, a copy of a CV.

Once accepted, authors will be asked to sign a short publishing agreement.

Please note that we are not able to supply complimentary (free) copies of books to contributing chapter authors. We do not supply eBook copies to editors or chapter authors. We do not supply finished chapter PDFs to editors or chapter authors. Chapter authors are normally offered the same discount (40%) as editors and book authors, on the finished book.
