Description
This book explores how meaning emerges within human experiences that are often regarded as irrational, fragmented, or incomprehensible. Drawing on psychiatry, narrative theory, systems thinking, recovery-oriented practice, and computational semantics, it proposes a framework for identifying underlying patterns of meaning in clinical, social, and institutional contexts. Through detailed analyses of clinical interviews, the author demonstrates how seemingly incomprehensible discourse can reveal coherent underlying structures. 'Seeking the Underlying Sense' is essential reading for psychiatrists, psychologists, and mental health professionals, as well as for scholars in the humanities, social sciences, and artificial intelligence who are interested in the future of human-machine collaboration and the enduring complexities of the human mind.
