Description

This manual bridges the persistent gap between the science of learning and the practical realities of the secondary-school classroom. It brings together how students learn, active methodologies, student motivation, formative assessment, structured innovation and the responsible use of AI in a single, coherent framework. Its central argument is that effective, equitable teaching does not require expensive resources. Developed for teacher training in diverse, low-resource contexts, its methods are deliberately zero-cost, relying only on board, paper and voice. The book introduces GIRO, an original method for classroom microinnovations that helps teachers turn everyday challenges into measurable improvements. It offers a practical, classroom-ready guide for secondary-school teachers and teacher trainers worldwide who are committed to fostering deep learning in any educational setting, with specific guidance for large classes and multilingual environments.
