Description
This edited volume provides an interdisciplinary analysis on the transformations reshaping the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states in recent years. Considering unprecedented socio-economic changes, energy transitions, and geopolitical realignments, the book promises to capture major aspects of the domestic and international realities of these nations. The volume brings together twelve original papers by scholars from diverse disciplinary backgrounds.
The collection is organized around three overarching themes. First, it examines socio- economic transformation and energy transitions. Second, it surveys international relations and security dynamics against the background of the Gulf nations’ evolving roles in regional and global affairs. And third, the volume investigates cultural and societal dynamics.
The volume is particularly timely considering the recent visibility of the GCC countries regionally and internationally.
