It presents an outline of the history of this important period of philosophical production, highlighting above all the main theses and lines of thought proposed within it. The work summarizes the metaphysics, anthropology, and ethics of the principal mediaeval philosophers and authors. It is intended as a general, introductory text for teaching and research in mediaeval philosophy, particularly at an undergraduate program level.

Author(s): Dr Jacob Buganza is a Professor of Ethics at the University of Veracruz, Mexico, and a senior (Level III) member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII), Mexico.
