Description

This book provides a comprehensive and meticulous study of Islamic mosque architecture, examining the intricate relationship between religious concepts, spirituality, and architectural manifestations in these sacred structures. The author explores the artistic connections and spiritual meanings embedded in the design of Islamic mosques, aiming to elucidate how this synergy enhances aesthetic experience and the sense of sanctity inherent in such architecture. It is an invaluable resource for scholars and researchers in the fields of art, architecture, and the history of Islamic art.

The work covers a wide array of technical and spiritual aspects of Islamic architecture, fostering a deeper understanding of the interplay between art and religion in shaping Islamic culture.

Initiatives such as the Harvard University Aga Khan Awards, alongside the increasing number of scholarly works in this field, contribute to the preservation and development of Islamic cultural and civilizational values.
