Author(s):  Dr Farrin Chwalkowski is an educator and practicing artist based at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her work focuses on symbolism in art, with a particular interest in ancient and non-Western traditions including Egyptian, African, Mesopotamian, and Islamic art. Her publications and artworks explore the intersections of myth, religion, and visual culture, reflecting her passion for the ways in which belief systems are expressed through symbolic forms.
